During the lockdown period, our church buildings have been closed and our Methodist communities have been exploring different ways of worshipping together and supporting one another: online, by telephone and through printed worship sheets and newsletters. If you would like to find out about the current arrangements at your local church, please contact the minister for that church (see the individual church pages on the website).
At present they have committed to the first and third Sundays of the month, but following the further Lockdown, they are reviewing this in consultation with the superintendents.
On the Birmingham District website homepage you will find links to the Order of Service & to their live-streamed Sunday morning worship, on their Facebook page and on YouTube.
Please Note: You do not have to have a Facebook account to participate in the worship live or to watch the video of it after the event has ended. You just need to use the link and then click 'not now at the bottom of the pop-up box inviting you to sign into Facebook.
Coffee Shop Sunday (CSS) is an initiative of the Coventry and Nuneaton Methodist Circuit and is part of the Circuit's outreach stream 3.
CSS is a new approach, different to traditional incarnations of church, both in terms of location and content. What could be more ordinary than enjoying a good coffee (or some other drink) in an everyday coffee shop on a retail park whilst worshipping through song, conversation, DVD clips, prayers. Or perhaps, you might be interested to share in developing prayer, bible study or discussion on Facebook or through Zoom.
Prior to the first lockdown, CSS met every two weeks at Costa Coffee on Gallagher Retail Park for coffee fellowship and we aim to be back at, what had become our home, Costa Coffee when circumstances feel right. Why not take a look at some short video acts of fellowship at the CSS YouTube channel or the prayer booklets written by those who are sharing together?
