I'm Rev'd Becki Stennett, and I have pastoral charge of Coventry Central Hall.
I'm joining the Coventry and Nuneaton Circuit in 2025 from the Leeds North and East Circuit where I served for 7 years. I'm technically a Black Country girl having been born in Walsall, but it's 20 years since I left.
I'm passionate about people, building community, breaking some of the tired stereotypes about Church and Christians, and enabling people to come to know God in accessible ways. I'm also keen for people to get to know the influence and impact of John Wesley, including enjoying helping children to learn about Christian faith through his example, and I'm increasingly keen for people to know about his mother, Susanna Wesley!
I love the life and liturgy of the church, while always wanting to explore new ways to make how we follow Jesus as inclusive as possible. This includes being a Godly Play practitioner and having an endless interest in creativity, storytelling and poetry.
I have two children, Reuben and Miriam, and together we enjoy crafts, camping, Guiding/Scouting and good food with a board game or two.
I love knitting, crocheting, theatre, reading and films. I especially love seeing how these things can open up conversations about theology too!
