Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6. These are words that have rung true for me over this last 10 years and even more so in the last 3 years. There have been many passages over the years that I have found that ring true for me and some of them have been challenging and also a sign of being on the right track some of these are also Psalm 139 and Isaiah 40:29-31.
I have just finished my BA Honours degree in Youth Community and Practical Theology as well as gaining a JNC Youth Work qualification. During my course I was working with both church and non-church groups in a wide range of settings and environments.
I enjoy being outdoors, my first job was working in Outdoor Pursuits and then I went into working in schools. I continue to do some kayaking and canoeing with Christian Adventure Holidays (CAH) where I am an instructor. Other things I have been involved in are that I have led Youth Worship (I play guitar, sing and write my own songs) and I love to see the young people praising God through song, craft, games, reading and prayer. The thing that I have learned through that is that we are all children of God and we should never forget that.
I found my calling whilst working with young people and I continue to work in this area. I want to see young people grow and be disciples of Christ. I enjoy the outdoors as well as having fun while also being there for a chat.
